Selecting The Venue

To help you select the appropriate venue for the Global Simulation Workshop, please consider these factors:

The Workshop is an activity-intense event. Participants will be on their feet and moving around the room. See price information page on minimum space requirements for single-and double-world Workshops. The marketing brochure insert describes the minimum space requirements for single- and double-world Workshops.

The Workshop is a multi-media event. Movies will be played throughout the Workshop to keep participants informed and to keep track of time. Therefore, when possible, select a room that can be darkened significantly.

If you need to host the Workshop in a gymnasium with large or difficult-to-close windows, try and see whether it is possible to temporarily cover the windows with curtains or blinds. Also, keep in mind that it is not necessary to darken the entire room, just the area in which a screen can be set up and movies can be viewed.

During the Workshop, we will use valuable AV equipment and game materials. This equipment needs to be set up in advance and occasionally must be left in the room overnight. We request that you select a venue that can be locked or secured.
